Whoah, it’s frightening how quickly this October half term school holiday has come around. Don’t panic if you’ve failed to plan ahead, the good news is… we have family rooms available for half term stays, right in the middle of Halloween family fun activities that will have you howling with delight. But be warned… not only is it a scary selection, we’re calling last orders for 2021 visits to some of Staffordshire’s best family attractions.
TAKE YOUR PIC(K) OF PERFECT PUMPKINS
Less than 4 miles away at Lower Drayton Farm, Farmer Richard and his team planted 80,000 pumpkin seeds in 12 acres of Staffordshire. Now it’s one mighty pumpkin patch full of perfect orange and white pumpkins ready for you to pick, carve on site in their carving tent, and snap a perfect pic of. Be sure to book in advance, don’t forget tickets for the playbarn too if you have little ones, enjoy the pumpkin soup and meet the farm animals.
HALLOWEEN THEME PARK FUN & FIREWORKS
Missed out on Alton Tower’s Scarefest then find Halloween theme park fun at Drayton Manor, just half an hour’s drive from the Moat House. You can enjoy over 100 rides and attractions including Thomas Land, Adventure Cove, live entertainment and early Fireworks on 29th & 30th October. Oh, here’s a little heads up about their fabulous Fireworks event on the 5, 6 and 7 November too – your last chance to visit before Alton Towers closes for winter.
HEY HEY WE’RE FREE MONKEYS!
The trick for children to get to see monkeys up close and personal for FREE this October 31st, is to simply dress up this Halloween. Half term is your last chance to visit 140 free-roaming monkeys, and play in the new primate themed play area at Trentham Monkey Forest, before they put on their winter coats and close the gates until next year.
