Questions to Ask Your Wedding Venue
Choosing your wedding venue is (probably) the first big decision you will make on your wedding planning journey. And it’s no small feat. The type of venue you go for can impact everything from the style of the wedding, to your choice of dress, to the number of guests who join you on your big day.
When you first view your wedding venue there’s so much information to take in and so much excitement, it’s easy to forget to ask those important questions. That’s why we’ve put together our top 10 questions to ask during a wedding venue viewing.
1. What are the maximum numbers you can accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 130 guests in the day and 200 in the evening.
2. Do you offer Civil Ceremonies?
Yes we do! We also have St. James Church just up the road if you prefer a church ceremony.
3. Do you have accommodation on site?
Yes, we are a 41 bedroom, 4-star hotel and as standard include 5 complimentary guest bedrooms and the wedding suite in our venue hire.
4. Do you offer outdoor ceremonies?
Yes, our Lakeside Pergola is perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies.
5. Are you an exclusive use venue?
We offer both exclusive and non-exclusive weddings. If you are interested in our exclusive wedding packages please just get in touch here.
6. Are you dog friendly?
Yes! You’re four legged friends are welcome in your ceremony, reception and even overnight in one of our dog friendly rooms.
7. Do you have a children’s menu?
Yes, we have a separate menu for children under 12 and for young adults between 12 and 18 years of age we offer an alcohol free package.
8. Can we bring our own alcohol?
We ask that all alcohol consumed on the property is purchased through ourselves. If you would like a specific brand available on the bar for your wedding day, please just let us know and we will happily organise that for you.
9. Do you have recommended suppliers?
We work closely with several local suppliers, if you need any recommendations please just let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
10. Can we make changes to the packages?
Yes absolutely! We see our packages as a guide to help you navigate the planning process without being too overwhelmed. If there’s anything you would like to alter all you need to do is let us know!
