We’re incredibly excited to share some big news. From 17th September, The Moat House is entering a new chapter, still proudly independent, still rooted in the heart of our community, but now reimagined to offer a more relaxed, modern, and welcoming dining experience.

The Moat House has always been a place where people come together, for celebrations, casual get-togethers, or a cosy drink by the fire. But over time, we’ve listened to how our guests like to dine, relax, and enjoy their time with us.
So, we’re bringing our bar and restaurant together into one cohesive offering. No more separate menus — just one warm, inviting area where you can enjoy everything we have to offer, whether you’re here for a pint and a pie or something a little more indulgent.

Behind the Scenes
Our team has been hard at work over the summer, from crafting and refining the new menu, to refreshing the space with new lighting, furniture, and décor. We’ve streamlined our processes so service is smoother for guests and easier for our team, and we’ve introduced training to make sure every visit feels special from start to finish.
