Lichfield Victorian Christmas Markets
Step back in time and experience a four-day festive shopping event, inspired by Victorian Christmas traditions. Held in Lichfield’s Market Square from 4th - 7th December, the bustling market is packed with artisan gift stalls, festive food and drink and handmade decorations.
There’s a range of family-friendly entertainment, including live music, street performances and characters dressed in Victorian costume. It’s the perfect place to shop, eat, drink and get your fill of the Christmas spirit, Victorian-style.
Christmas Makers Markets
Discover the artisan Christmas Makers Markets at Trentham Estate between 22nd -23rd and 29th - 30th November and 6th - 7th December. With a range of stalls showcasing award-winning local food and drink, arts and crafts, you’ll have the chance to sample festive food, meet the makers and find out more about their work.
The Polar Express Train Ride
All aboard the Polar Express! Head to Churnett Valley Railway in the Staffordshire Moorlands between 8th November and 23rd December to embark on an enchanting ride to the North Pole. Expect a festive extravaganza with treats and surprises galore as elements of the famous film are brought to life on a real steam train. Dress code: your best pyjamas.
Christmas at Trentham
Gather your loved ones and celebrate the spirit of Christmas in style at Trentham Estate. From 13th November to 24th December, you can wander through the twinkling Winter Light Trail and enjoy a festive treat for your senses with over a mile of sparkling displays, immersive sounds and interactive installations. There’s an Apre Ski lodge bar and chalets serving a range of food and drink, marshmallow stations and funfair amusements.
You can also meet Father Christmas and his elves in the grotto from 15th - 24th December and, if you’re feeling energetic, take part in the Mental Elf fun run on 7 December, a 5k event for all the family.
Festive Wreath Workshops
From 6th - 7th December, head to the Visitor Centre at Stafford Castle and learn how to make a traditional Christmas wreath. All materials are supplied, including festive greenery, ribbon, dried fruit and baubles. Tickets include a glass of bubbles or a hot drink and a mince pie.
Illuminated Arboretum
It’s the season to sparkle, and Christmas magic is in the air between 5th - 22nd December at Stafford’s National Memorial Arboretum. The 1.5-mile illuminated route is one of the most beautiful Christmas events in Staffordshire.
Experience immersive spaces and hands-on elements. You can enjoy takeaway food and drink from the restaurant and stalls along the route.
Winter Wonderland at the Snow Dome
Visit Tamworth’s Snow Dome between 15th November and 3rd January and celebrate 20 years of Winter Wonderland. Children can enjoy sledging and building snowmen in real snow, enjoy fairground rides and meet Santa’s animal helpers.
There’s a Santa Snow Trail, mini pantomimes, Santa’s Christmas Village and even SledX HQ, where children can write and post their letters to Santa. Christmas doesn’t get much more fun!
North Pole Adventure
Experience the magic of Christmas at the National Forest Adventure Farm’s North Pole Adventure in Burton-on-Trent from Friday to Sunday between 29th November and 19th December.
Embark on an adventure to the North Pole filled with festive fun and a few surprises. Discover the Victorian Village, decorate gingerbread, fix the broken toy machines, and, of course, meet Father Christmas himself. Tickets include entry to the farm.
