Trentham Live, Trentham Gardens – 15th – 18th August 2024

One of the best Staffordshire events, Trentham Live is a much-anticipated music festival that takes place each year in the grounds of Trentham Estate. Encompassing four different events in one amazing lakeside setting, this multi-day affair enjoys a truly dreamy backdrop in idyllic parkland.

Microcar Rally at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery – 23rd August 2024

Open throughout the year, The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent showcases an array of exhibitions celebrating both local and international art, history, and natural science. It is also home to the world’s largest collection of Staffordshire ceramics. Free to enter, the museum is a great place to visit. #

That said, particularly interesting to car lovers is the scheduled Microcar Rally in August. Organised in collaboration with members of a local club, this unique exhibition presents a variety of microcars, starring vehicles with engines less than 600cc capacity. Spanning the eras, these cars include a number of rare and iconic models, including Reliant, Bond, Isetta and Messerschmitt.

Eccleshall Show – 31st August 2024

For one of the best days out in Staffordshire and to enjoy a quintessential English country fair experience, turn your attention to the Eccleshall Show in The Parks, Sugnall. Planned for the last Saturday in August this year, the show features a range of agricultural displays, vintage cars, dog agility competitions, food and craft markets and more.

Family-friendly, it also promises live music, a fun fair and children’s entertainment too. Head over to peruse the stalls and displays and enjoy the atmosphere. With over 300 vintage vehicles to discover and a wealth of things to see and do onsite, we can see why it’s a favourite amongst Staffordshire events.

Sonic Boom Music Festival – 14th September 2024

For the musos, Sonic Boom Music Festival in Burton provides a tempting proposition. Produced in partnership with the local council and Burton Music Collective and hosted by BBC Radio 6’s Chris Hawkins, this grassroots festival draws crowds for its atmosphere and live music.

Serving up a locally curated music medley to rival the quality and calibre of national festivals, this independent arts event celebrates new music and is free to attend. For something a little different, head over this year and uncover your new favourite up-and-coming artists and bands.

Lichfield Chamber Festival – 3rd – 6th October 2024

Lichfield’s Chamber Festival is part of one of the UK's leading multi-arts festivals. Presenting an unmissable programme of Staffordshire events, it sets the stage with a varied mix of classical, jazz, cabaret, folk, pop and world music and more. Making it even more appealing are dance, theatre, comedy and literature events too.

Alton Towers Scarefest – October 11th – 3rd November 2024

As we head into the autumnal months, it’s hard not to get excited as the temperature cools and the leaves don an auburn cloak. Of course, the month of October is particularly famous for its Halloween festival too. For one of the best Staffordshire events and top places to spend Halloween this year, make way to Alton Towers.

Weston Park Bonfire & Fireworks – 3rd November 2024
